Abstract:The influences of aggregate combination and inhibitor additives on the Alkali-silica Reaction (ASR) were studied in this research. A long-term alkali activity simulation of fully-graded concrete also was carried out. The results showed that replacement of artificial sandstone sand with artificial marble sand reduced the alkali activity expansion rate of the sandstone aggregate and effectively improved the inhibition effect of the aggregate when mixed with 35 % fly ash.
