Abstract: Currently, spectrometers are almost used for spectrum measuring of low-dose-rate radiation. Therefore, the sensitive volume of the spectrometer detector is usually big, and the width of the nuclear pulse is often wide. The pulse throughput of the spectrometer does not have to be very high. However, if a nuclear accident or a nuclear burst occurs, the dose rate will be high.
