Study on Consensus of the Forth-Order Discrete-Time Multiagent System in Directed Networks

Abstract: In this paper, we are concerned with the consensus of the forth-order discrete-time multiagent system in directed networks. First, by defining a group of new variables, the multiagent system is converted to the corresponding reduced order system. Based on the stability of the reduced order system, we discuss the consensus of the original multiagent system. Then, two necessary and sufficient conditions for the consensus of the forth-order discrete-time multiagent system are established by using the related know… Show more

“…As an important information transmission system, multi-agent systems (MASs) have become a hot research topic, which is widely used in sensor network [4], robot coordinated control [5], intelligent transportation system [6], UAV formation flight [7], spacecraft docking [8], and many other fields. Continuous [9][10][11] or discrete [12][13][14] MASs have been widely studied. Liu et al [9] investigated the consensus problem for continuous-time and discrete-time MASs under directed topologies.…”

“…Liu et al [12] discussed the switching controllability of discrete-time MASs under undirected topologies. Yu et al [13] studied the consensus problem for fourth-order discrete-time MAS under directed topologies. Zhao et al [14] investigated the controllability of discrete-time MASs with directed and weighted signed networks.…”

“…In relation to wireless network technology, there is a need for a consensus study since the network topologies exist between the agent and its neighbours [29,73,84,85]. For instance, the communication between the UAV ground mobile robot via the network on the air and the ground [86], the communication between the heterogeneous UAV and the satellite and ground station [87], and the communication between the cluster multi-agent and the network topology [88].…”
