Abstract:Decolorization of Rhodamine B (RhB) by peroxymonocarbonate (HCO4–) in aqueous solution was investigated in this study. All experiments were conducted in a 50 mL batch reactor at room temperature (26 ± 1°C) and pH of 9.0. The oxidizing agent (peroxymonocarbonate) was prepared in‐situ by the reaction between hydrogen peroxide and bicarbonate (molar ratio of H2O2:HCO3– is 2:1). The catalytic effect of four metal ions including Co(II), Cu(II), Fe(II), Mn(II) on the decolorization by HCO4– was evaluated. Co(II), th… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
