Study on Balance Criterion of Pumping Unit

Abstract: The three basic criterions of pumping unit were analyzed. The criterions could be extracted from power curve of pumping unit in one stroke. When the pumping unit was adjusted by one criterion, it could also fit the other criterions. Under this condition the pumping unit could be considered as well balance. The practical testing and data prove that the pumping unit can meet the requirements of criterion one and two, approach criterion three after adjusting by power method.

“…"Balance Beam Pumping Unit Evaluation Criteria" of the fan-shaped adaptive balancing device is determined by the current method, which is deemed equal balance when up-stroke peak torque of the crank shaft of gearbox is as same as that of down-stroke [12]- [14]. Since both the motor input current and power and crankshaft torque of gearbox are approximately in direct proportion, usually the equilibrium ratio (ER) of the main motor peak current in up-down stroke is compared instead of using the peak torque of the crank shaft [15]. When ER of the Step actuator…”
