Study on Asymmetric Support of Anchor Cable with C-Shaped Tube in Inclined Coal Seam Roadway

Abstract: In view of the complex asymmetric deformation characteristics of inclined coal seam roadways and the tensed shear failure of anchor cable supports, the asymmetric support scheme of an anchor cable with a C-shaped tube is proposed. In order to study its supporting effect on an inclined coal seam roadway, this paper first explores the difference in shear performance between an anchor cable with a C-shaped tube and an anchor cable through double shear tests. Then, based on the asymmetric deformation characteristi… Show more

“…Ma Q et al (Ma et al, 2022) divided the surrounding rock of an inclined rock roadway into different regions and put forward surrounding rock control schemes such as grouting reinforcement, strengthening support, and pressure relief grouting for different regions. Shan R et al (Shan et al, 2023) proposed a C-shaped tube anchor cable asymmetric support scheme for the complex asymmetric deformation characteristics of an inclined coal seam roadway and the tensile shear failure of anchor cable support. Liu P et al (Liu et al, 2022) studied the deformation characteristics and control technology of the surrounding rock of a roadway along goaf in inclined strata and put forward the support method of anchor cable.…”

“…Roadways built with weakly cemented material are typically vulnerable to significant issues like rapid decrease in anchoring force, substantial deformation of the neighboring rock, and a brief self-stabilization period. Although the traditional active support methods such as anchor bolt, anchor cable, and combined support with an anchor cable net can effectively control the deformation of the surrounding rock of coal roadways, such methods cannot limit the deformation of the surrounding rock of soft rock roadways and cannot meet the requirements of the support of soft rock roadways under the current coal mining conditions, and the stability of the roadway is difficult to be guaranteed [5][6][7][8][9].…”
