“…According to the previous acid etching experiment and conductivity test results, although the conductivity and retention abilities of VES acid are lower than those of gelled acid, the viscosity of spent acid is higher and the degree of non-uniform etching is greater, which is useful for enhancing acid-penetration distance. Furthermore, based on the characteristics of Ordovicianan Fengfeng reservoir, the numerical acid fracturing model was used to calculate the effective acid-penetration distance, which was 175.1 m for VES acid and 130.7 m for gelled acid, respectively, under a condition of acid injection rate of 8.0 m 3 /min and injection time of 120 min .
