Study of the thermoelastic properties of polymers in open systems: Effect of the used diluent on the energetic ratio fu/f

Abstract: Effect of diluent on the thermoelastic properties of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers was investigated. Dcpendence of the value of ru/f on the thermal coefficient of volume expansion p8, which is a linear function of the thermoelastic point of inversion, was determined. In the case of :I homologous series of diluents values of f,/f were correlated with molar refraction of the diluents used.
