Study of the Knife-Gap Adjustment for Rolling-Cut Bilateral Shear

Abstract: The knife-gap accuracy of rolling-cut bilateral shear is one of the key factors influencing the cutting quality. This paper through the site of a high strength low alloy steel shear test, a linear regression equation for the relation between knife-gap and plate thickness is obtained and optimize by using MATLAB Toolbox, after optimization of the linear regression equation can be conveniently used, reduce knife-gap adjustment time, improve production efficiency, reduce shearing defects.
