Abstract:The reaction MgZ5(d, a)NaZ3 has been studied a t bombarding energies between 1.5 and 2.5 MeV. Excitation functions for the ground and the lowest six excited states were measured a t laboratory angles of 120°, 140" and 160". The energy resolution in the measurements was better than 10 keV. Fluctuations in these cross-sections were analysed on the basis of the ERICSON theory. The coherence width of the compound nucleus AlZ7 (with excitation energy 19 MeV) averaged over all transitions has been found t o be 29 ke… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
