Study of Reaction Routes in Sulfonation of 2‐Aminothiazoles with Chlorosulfonic Acid.

Abstract: Acid. -The sulfonation of aminothiazoles (I) with chlorosulfonic acid under mild conditions affords primarily the thiazolesulfonic acids (II) which rearrange on heating in sulfuric acid into the corresponding stable sulfamoylic acids (III). -(LYASHCHUK, S.
