Study of optical and structural properties of CZTS thin films using copper capping layer and sulfurization to correct stoichiometry

Abstract: Non-toxic, environment friendly and low cost Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin films were deposited on sodalime glass substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputter deposition technique. Stoichiometry analysis revealed that the as-deposited films were Cu deficient. Hence, Cu capping layer was deposited, to study its’ effect on optical and structural properties of the films. These films were subsequently sulfurized in a quartz setup. Ultimately, stoichiometric CZTS films with improved Cu content up to 27.4% were obtained.… Show more
