Abstract:The absolute intensity of the internal Bremsstrahlung radiation following the beta decay of 147 Pm has been measured using a high-resolution X-ray detector in the low-energy region from 3 to 33 keV. Magnetic-deflector method has been used to avoid the betas from reaching the detector. The corrected spectral intensity has been compared with the Nilsson-corrected KUB theory. Good agreement between experiment and theory is seen in this energy region. r
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
