Study of Heat and Mass Transfer to Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Pulsatile Couple Stress Fluid Between Two Parallel Porous Plates

Abstract: This numerical investigation reports the unsteady MHD pulsatile flow of couple stress Non-Newtonian fluid. In the fluid, the effect of non-uniform wall temperature and concentration as a result of periodic heat and mass input at the heated wall was taken into consideration. Also, the influence of a uniform external magnetic field between two parallel plates was considered. The pressure driven fluid was analysed using Eyring-Powell Non-Newtonian fluid model. The non-linear dimensional partial differential equat… Show more

“…By using the Gauss-Siedel relaxation strategy, this iterative method linearizes and decouples sets of nonlinear differential equations. After that, the Chebyshev pseudo-spectral method developed [15][16][17] is used to discretize the linear system of equations. The nonlinear functions are presummated to exist at the previous step (r) whereas the linear functions are calculated at the most recent iteration step (r+1).…”

“…There are exceptions to every rule. Many equipment, like the MHD current generator and the Hall accelerator, use magnetohydrodynamic flows to transfer heat and mass, and recent advances in this area have been impressive [1][2][3]. Magnetic field effects on the motion of electrically executing viscous fluid with mass transport are also useful for the study of the planetary atmosphere.…”
