Conventionally, thermal management of LEDs lighting is achieved by natural convection with different types of heat sink. However, as high-power LEDs lighting developing, passive cooling system can't afford sufficient cooling ability for LEDs lighting. Previous study developed a novel piezoelectric (PZT) fan with multiple magnetic fans cooling system which only used one piezoelectric actuator to provide more air flow. In this study, micro multiple piezoelectricmagnetic fans (called "m-MPMF") is developed to provide an innovative cooling solution on thermal management of LEDs lighting. Moreover, efficiency of MPMF system in this study is defined as the improvement of thermal resistance compared with natural convection. The results show the carbon fiber sheet of magnetic fan can perform better cooling ability than PVC fan because of higher Young's modulus. Efficiency of MPMF system showed 74% improvement by using carbon fiber sheet, in contrary, only 64% improvement of PVC fan. The m-MPMF system is also developed for small scale LEDs lighting cooling. The result showed m-MPMF system can keep temperature of 9W LEDs lighting substrate below 55℃ and T-shape design of m-MPMF can further reduce temperature to 45.2℃ with only 0.13W power consumption.
