“…As expected, the oxidized nature of graphene oxide (GO) confirmed by XPS induces a lower conductivity than for GNPs. In turn, the dielectric constant of the latter is higher due to its conductivity, according to the Maxwell Sillars effect described in [13] and model-predicted in ref. [14,21].…”

“…We have systematically explored combinations of highly anisotropic NCS and spherical ferro-and ferri-magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) (Figure 1b), in order to induce additional electromagnetic properties to the resulting composites. Indeed, MNPs show intrinsic resonance of their permeability µ in the range of 4-40 GHz, while a short distance between NCS induces huge coupling capacitances responsible for relaxation in the GHz-range [13,14], and for enhanced permittivity ε r . Controlling the composition and surface chemistry of the carbonaceous components and metal inclusions optimizes their combined nanostructuration (Figure 1c).…”

“…This machine utilizes the concept of measuring the transmitted and reflected waves as a signal passes through a device under test [11]. This measurement method is used on a large scale of recent research; it is considered as a shorthand way to identify the absorption index over large selective frequencies based on S-parameters [12,13].…”

“…Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) allow a fine interaction with the electric field required for polarization like metal grid, but without considerably reflecting the energy as a metal . Currently, polymer‐CNT composites are widely used for broadband absorption or microwave polarization . Our twist polarizer operates over the GHz‐range and has the advantage of a thickness ∼100 times lower than the wavelength.…”
