A new AMS facility at Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi

“…A retractable Faraday cup is installed in the AMS chamber to collect stable isotope 27 Al in case of 26 Al measurement. A gas cell present before the gas ionization detector, is used to separate 10 B (isobar of 10 Be) from 10 Be. Multi-anode gas ionization chamber (MAGIC), having two split anodes, Frisch grid, one silicon surface barrier detector (SSBD) at the end, counts 10 Be or 26 Al ions.…”
