Study and Comparative Analysis of OFDM and UFMC Modulation Schemes

Abstract: In various areas, wireless systems are used. In order to allocate the available time and frequency resources, these wireless systems require flexible mechanisms. With 5G, transmission rates will be higher, latency will be lower and quality of service and channel capacity will be higher. The physical layer must be able to generate flexible waveforms to meet the above requirements. Currently, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission does not support 5G communication. In the case of 4G/OFDM,… Show more

“…This framework is designed to keep the transmitted signal linear and lower the bit error rate, which lowers PAPR. The signal that has to be modulated will first be routed through a QAM modulator, where it will be phase-shifted by 90 degrees and organised orthogonally [13][14]. The QAM modulator output is sent via an inverse fast Fourier transform, which converts the signal from the frequency domain to the time domain.…”

“…Blockchain payment services are a brand-new payment processing system that uses blockchain technology to make payments easier [32]. Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology that makes transactions safe, transparent, and unalterable [33]. Due to its ability to lower costs, increase efficiency, and decrease fraud, it is the perfect choice for payment processing.…”

“…In order to preserve orthogonality, it is necessary for T to be the reciprocal of the subcarrier spacing. The principles employed in the straightforward analogue OFDM implementation may be expanded to the digital realm through the utilization of a mix of FFT and IFFT techniques in digital signal processing [18]. The significance of these transformations lies in their relevance to OFDM, since they serve the purpose of transferring digitally modulated input data (data symbols) onto orthogonal subcarriers.…”
