Study and Characterization of Hydrochar from Duku (Lansium domesticum) Peel

Abstract: Peel of duku fruit (Lansium domesticum) was prepared into hydrochar by using hydrothermal carbonation method at heating time variation of 8, 10, 12, 24 hours and temperature variation of 200 and 250°C. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infra Red (FT-IR), Brunauer Emmet Teller (BET) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) analyses were conducted to determine at what time and temperature variations the adsorbent had the best adsorption quality. Based on the characteristics of the adsorbent, it can be see… Show more

“…Figure 3 explains that the biochar magnet has an angle at 2θ, namely the diffraction peaks at 24.9°, 35°, 63°, and 68.4° for the planes ( 220), ( 311), (422), and (440), respectively, while in the layered double hydroxide Zn-Al/magnetic biochar composite, the diffraction angle peaks are shown at 35.3° and 61.1° for the planes (311), and (110), respectively. This explains that magnetic biochar and layered double hydroxide Zn-Al/magnetic biochar composite have been successfully synthesized based on JCPDS file No.19-0619 (Ahmad et al, 2023;Fitri and Ardiansyah, 2023).…”
