“…In the tissue of mammals, b-glucuronidase has been measured as a typical lysosomal enzyme through studies of subcellular fractionation. Pineda et al (2) demonstrated that liver damage caused an increase of the enzyme in blood, and liver cancer could be related to the enzyme (3), (4). We found that silymarin, a commercial crude drug used as a hepatoprotective, was found to inhibit b-glucuronidase in vitro as well as in vivo (5).…”
