“…Some compounds like 1, 3, 7, 9-10, 22, 25, 27, 29, 34, 39, and 41-42 were found to be strong antioxidant and showed IC 50 values ranging from 24 to 30 lg ⁄ mL while others showed low antioxidant activity ( Table 4). The compounds (e.g., 3 and 9) with good antitumor activity were found to be strong antioxidants as well, and these results are consistent with the previous reports of some correlations found in these two activities (24 Biological Activities of Some Semicarbazones literature (25,26). Furthermore, it was noted that these two compounds (12 and 17) have shown DNA protective activity but no antioxidant activity (27).…”

“…Propyl gallate containing patch induced the highest decomposition of THC. Usually, the more antioxidant added, the more protection it offers, however, higher antioxidant concentrations of propyl gallate have been reported to accelerate oxidation 17. Since, phenolic antioxidants were not effective in inhibiting the oxidation, it may be assumed that the peroxy radicals were not significantly involved in the oxidation chain reaction.…”
