“…CuN 3 crystallizes in the tetragonal lattice with the symmetry of I 4 1 / a 11 with four formular units. No data on structural transformation in copper azide decomposition are available, whereas, N 3 CuN is formed as an intermediate stage in Cu(N 3 ) 2 ( Pnma , 12).…”

“…The crystal of Cu(N 3 ) 2 has an orthorhombic Pnma space group and each unit cell contains 28 atoms. We primarily optimize the ground‐state crystal structure, obtaining Cu‐N1 bond length, λ Cu‐N1 = 2.00 Å, N1‐N2 bond length, λ N1‐N2 = 1.23 Å, N2‐N3 bond length, λ N2‐N3 = 1.17 Å, Cu‐N1‐N2 bond angle, ϕ = 124.4 ° , and N1‐N2‐N3 bond angle, θ = 178.6 ° , which agree with the reported experimental values . The crystal Cu(N 3 ) 2 shows the ferromagnetic state and the calculated magnetic moment μ = 0.184 μ B.…”

“…A comparable arrangement of azidocuprate(II) anions is found as [Cu 7 (N 3 ) 16 ] 2‐ , which also shows a layered structure with interconnected anions, but with smaller anionic units than present in the title compound . Neglecting the ethanol ligands, the [Cu 11 (N 3 ) 24 ] units can be considered as a cut‐out of the infinite chains, found in catena ‐diazidocuprate(II), Cu(N 3 ) 2 …”
