Studies on chlozolinate and PP192 for control ofBotrytis cinerea

Abstract

The experimental fungicide PP 192 showed high protectant activity against 18 isolates of Botrytis cinerea Pers. : Fr using beans as a test plant. Chlozolinate showed high protectant activity against dicarboximide-susceptible isolates but not against dicarboximide-resistant ones. This pattern of results was also found in fungicidal activity against hyphal growth in malt agar. On bean plants, PP192 showed protectant activity only, but chlozolinate and the other dicarboximide compounds also showed systemic, translaminar, and eradicant activity.
