“…Both previously reported and new W VI mono­(imido) complexes [WCl 4 (NR)­(thf)] ( 2a – g ), were synthesized using modifications of literature procedures, whereby WOCl 4 was reacted with the appropriate organic isocyanate at reflux, leading to the formation of the chloride-bridged dimeric mono­(imido) complexes {[WCl 3 (μ-Cl)­(NR)] 2 } ( 1a – g ) (Scheme ). ,− The resulting dimers can be transformed into monometallic complexes 2 on treatment with excess tetrahydrofuran (THF).
