Studies of x-ray emission properties of photoionized plasmas

Abstract: In this paper three aspects of photoionized plasmas are discussed in both laboratory and astrophysical contexts. First, the importance of accurate atomic/ionic data for the analysis of photoionized plasmas is shown. Second, an overview of present computer codes for the analysis of photoionized plasmas is given. We introduce our computer model, radiative-collisional code based on the flexible atomic code (RCF), for calculations of the properties of such plasmas. RCF uses database generated by the flexible atomi… Show more

“…We will take the inter-atomic scattering length a 12 as tunable at will. This mixture has been recently studied [22] and proven to be a good candidate to investigate interactiondriven effects in a superfluid Bose mixture with a largely tunable inter-species interactions (both repulsive and attractive). We are interested in the regime where selfbound states appear, i.e.…”

“…Numerous groups have experimentally realized binary BECs by combining different elements [35][36][37][38][39][40], isotopes [41][42][43], hyperfine states [44][45][46][47], and even different spin states [48]. There has also been considerable theoretical attention, e.g.…”

“…According to the above results, the line ratios are influenced by the satellite lines and the PR effect. The He-α lines are surrounded by a lot of intense satellite lines, especially the forbidden line [19,25,38] , and these can hardly be distinguished from each other. Thus, under some low resolution conditions, the influence of satellite lines needs to be taken into account in the calculation of line intensities.…”
