Janzen (1973), who was probably the first scholar to address systematically the issue of Qumran Jeremiah, concluded that the Hebrew Vorlage of the LXX was very conservative and that it had been created not very far removed in time from the Urtext of Jeremiah (Janzen 1973:68).
