Studies About Physical Activity Interventions Including Follow-Up Analysis: A Systematic Review

Abstract: Studies on PA interventions using follow-up analysis are scarce. Considering the relevance of follow-up studies to measure behavior changes, the results suggest that more studies about this topic are essential in Brazil.

“…The focus on OWs might be particularly important, owing to the high risk of physical inactivity in this population, which is largely due to the work-related demands of this occupation (17). In addition, this study tries to overcome the shortcoming of a large proportion of longitudinal studies in PA promotion (75) and previous longitudinal studies on PAHCO (39) by employing a follow-up period beyond six months to examine PAHCO temporal stability, leisure-time PA maintenance and long-term HRQOL promotion 18 months after completion of the WHPP. Moreover, our study extends the theoretical and empirical knowledge of PAHCO by exploring the changeability and temporal stability of PAHCO in a nonclinical adult population, as well as analysing the effect of this model on leisure-time PA and HRQOL.…”
