There is considerable interest in how work-ready a psychology graduate is after a 3-(or 4-) year course of study. This research combined the assessment of students' psychological literacy (specifically in the area of research methods), with their self-reported employable skills self-efficacy across four areas (communication skills, analytical inquiry skills, collaboration skills, and professional development skills). The measurement of psychological literacy has remained a major challenge to researchers and educators, and we developed the revised Test of Psychological Literacy (TOPL) as a multidomain assessment of psychological literacy that also included the situational judgment test methodology. The 13 research methods and statistics items from the revised TOPL were analyzed along with the students' employable skills self-efficacy (across four dimensions), their research methods domain knowledge, age, year of study, and usual grade in two undergraduate psychology samples from Australian universities. The unique predictors of the revised TOPL research methods scores were age and their research methods domain knowledge, while the students' usual grade was the only consistent predictor of their employable skills self-efficacy. Employable skills self-efficacy is positively related to psychological literacy for three of the four dimensions affirming that they are both important outcomes of psychology education. We conclude that these are complementary aspects of work readiness that, along with academic grades and possibly age, will inform the career exploration and decision-making of psychology graduates.

Analysis Student's Career Based on Social Cognitive Career Theory to Develop Students' STEM Career Interests

This research attempts to present a profile of students' career interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in Indonesia. This study used a descriptive survey research approach. The STEM-Career Interest Survey was utilized to collect data (STEM-CIS). The survey sample consists of 270 online questionnaires created with Google Forms. Analyzing students' mean STEM-CIS data per question item was performed to define each part of social-cognitive career theory (SCCT). Based on the findings of the STEM-CIS, the average STEM career interest of students in science is 3.35, technology is 3.50, engineering is 2.93, and mathematics is 3.40. A review of Social-Cognitive Career Theory in the STEM sector finds that the technology profession has the highest average score in a vote of 270 students, according to the research findings. The average result expectations score for the technology industry is 4.43.

In a student's life, taking the correct decision concerning the right career choice is critical. The career chosen must be in line with the expectations, else will result in a waste of efforts and resources. This article explored factors influencing correct career choice and at finding factors those influence students' career choices and whether youth take a career in the Indian armed forces as a prime option over other career choices. This study used qualitative methods to explore Maslow's motivational theory application to armed forces careers, to find the aspirations, and build a theoretical framework for choices of careers. The study used the purposive sampling method to explore the students' choices. PLS-SEM and Anova (Post-Hock Tu-key tests) are used for data validation and analysis. The research finds armed forces are unable to entice eligible young people to join them as students are not inclined towards a career in the armed forces, in present conditions. The correct decision for the right career choice is important for any student and it has a significant impact on his future life and accomplishments. The wider choices available made it difficult to choose the correct path as intricately interwound influencing factors are plenty. There exists an imperative need and requirement exists to undertake necessary steps by the government to make the armed forces, a front-line choice.
