Mathematical representation ability is an essential skill for students to understand mathematical concepts. Many studies have been conducted regarding this ability, but it is necessary to map existing research to provide a clearer picture of future research topics. This study aims to provide a bibliometric review of trends using mathematical representation skills in mathematics teaching research. The method in this study is bibliometric analysis, which aims to analyze and classify bibliographic material by presenting representative summaries of the literature in the Scopus database. The search was carried out using the keyword "mathematical representation" and selecting "article title" in the search menu in the Scopus.com database. Perish or Publish (PoP) software analyzes the author's name, number of document citations, document title, year of publication, document source, publisher, and document type. The results showed 99 publications and 357 citations related to mathematical representations, where the number of publications and citations fluctuated. The application of learning models and approaches, computer media, and analysis of mathematical representations is a research trend related to this variable. Therefore, paying attention to mathematical representations in learning mathematics and using effective strategies to improve students' mathematical representation abilities is essential. The findings of this study indicate the need to develop syntax and learning media based on mathematical representations to strengthen students' mathematical abilities.

Kemampuan representasi matematis adalah kemampuan siswa dalam mengkomunikasikan ide-ide matematika dalam bentuk visual, simbol, dan verbal. Representasi matematis penting dimiliki oleh setiap siswa karena dapat membantu dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa tipe camper dalam pemecahan masalah matematika di era pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan wawancara. Langkah pertama pengambilan subjek pada penelitian ini adalah pemberian angket Adversity Respon Profile (ARP) melalui google form, kemudian menganalisis hasil angket ARP dan didapatkan siswa dengan Adversity Quotient (AQ) tipe Camper. Langkah kedua yaitu pemberian tes secara online melalui google meet kepada siswa kelas VIID tipe Camper. Langkah ketiga yaitu kegiatan wawancara secara online melalui WhatsApp kepada siswa yang terpilih, yaitu kepada tiga siswa Camper VIID SMPN 1 Giri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga siswa mampu memunculkan representasi visual, dua siswa mampu memunculkan representasi simbol, dan hanya ada satu siswa yang mampu memunculkan representasi verbal.

This research aims to systematically analyze students' mathematical communication skills based on the given problem-solving construction from the given math problems. The students involved in this study are class IX SMPN 1 Mangarabombang. The type of research applied is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research instruments are Mathematical Ability Test, Mathematical Communication Skills Guidelines, and Interview Guidelines. In this study, triangulation techniques were used to check the validity of the data that had been obtained. Data analysis techniques in this study use model with the following stages: 1. Data Reduction, 2. Data Presentation, and 3. Making Conclusion. The results show that mathematical communication skills can be demonstrated by mathematical modeling, representation of ideas, development of the ability to use mathematical object devices, and connecting algebraic expression to mathematical ideas. To realize this, the researcher understood and mastered mathematical concepts to support solving the given problems. Understanding, in this case, is characterized by indicators not only knowing mathematical concepts but knowing at the time when they are used and how to apply them. Then mastery is to place the mathematical concept in the context of the problem.
