Background: Time management skills increase satisfaction and balance between work and life. Additionally, managing time effectively reduces anxiety while also making achieving goals easier. Aim: The objectives of the study were to figure out the time management skills of medical students and their relationship with socio-demographic characteristics. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted in a medical college of Faisalabad.Study duration was 4 months (October 2021 to January 2022). A total of 250 students were enrolled in a study. The inclusion criteria included medical undergraduate students.A total of 50 students were enrolled from each class of MBBS through non-probability convenient sampling technique.A questionnaire titled “Time Management Assessment Questionnaire” containing 25 items developed by Wayne State University was used. A participant who had a score <29 was deemed to have poor time management abilities. A participant had average time management abilities if their overall score ranged from 30 to 44, and they had exceptional time management skills if their overall score ranged from 45 to 50. The IBM SPSS Statistics Version 25 was used for data analysis. Results: Most of the students were found to have inadequate time management skills. Class 2nd and 1st year MBBS students were found to have more inadequate time management skills followed by 4th, 3rd and final year students. Fairly well time management skills were shown by 1/3rd of participants and excellent time management skills were shown by less than 10% of participants. Conclusion: Over half percentage of medical students have poor time management abilities. Based on their socio-demographic characteristics, there are no differences in time management abilities among participants. Reading books and other publications on the subject, as well as attending related workshops and seminars, can help students improve their time management abilities. Problems that occur at Mikroskil University student organizations include obstacles from the administrative side, such as delays in submitting proposals and reporting activities which result in delays/especially delays in the funding process, to issues of morality and management of each studentorganization as well as time management itself. This research aims to determine and analyze the condition of Mikroskil University student organizations in running student organizations so that studentperceptions and behavior can be known, and this is the novelty of this research. This research used aqualitative descriptive survey method with a purposive sampling technique involving core administrators and active members of divisions within Mikroskil University as samples. The results of the partialtest (t-test) show that the time management variable has a positive effect on student behavior and perceptions at the Mikroskil University Student Organization. The Adjusted R2value of the time managementvariable on student behavior was obtained at 44.8%, while the time management variable on behaviortowards student perceptions was 32.8% and the remaining 55.2% and 67.2% were influenced by othervariables not examined in this research. The research results show that time management partially hasa positive and significant effect on behavior and perceptions

The Development of MyMobileSLT: A tool for student time management skills

MySLT (Student Learning Time), a manual book for time management, was earlier created to assist students at the university level manage their time for academic activities effectively. It acted as a tool to guide students in time management, and as a preventive measure towards the problems of procrastination, disorganization, interruptions and workload stress. Supplementary to this MySLT manual was an SLT calculator to help students project the amount of time that should be allocated for each course for each semester. However, students who had used this MySLT tool perceived the hardcopy version of the manual as bulky and inconvenient. They suggested a more practical and convenient platform. Thus, a complete mobile application version of this manual, now named MyMobileSLT, was developed, to make it more convenient and versatile. The objective of this paper is to discuss the development of MyMobileSLT, which involved five stages including Identification, Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance. Although the development of this application is still at its infant stage, a pilot study involving 30 undergraduates from a local university shows an overwhelming response. The findings indicate that MyMobileSLT is perceived as convenient and practical compared to the previous MySLT manual. Further works recommended include features like pop up reminders or alarm in personal calendar.
