Abstract:Two series of novel coordination polymers (CPs), namely, Ln3(3,5‐DCB)9(bipy) (H2O)2·(bipy) [Ln = Nd (1), Sm (2)] and Ln2(3,5‐DCB)6(bipy)H2O [Ln = Eu (3), Gd (4), Tb (5) and Dy (6)], have been synthesized by hydrothermal reaction of a bridging ligand, 3,5‐dichlorobenzoic acid (3,5‐HDCB), with LnCl3·nH2O and N‐donor neutral ligand, 2,2′‐bipyridine (bipy).
