“…In [72], it was established that the second-phase particles, or SPPs, have a high affinity for hydrogen and act as short-circuit pathways for hydrogen transport through the oxide protective layers. Hydrogen can easily diffuse through these thin oxide scales via metallic SPPs towards the metal substrate.…”

“…transientní stav je spojován s přeměnou tetragonální fáze ZrO 2 na monoklinickou či uvolněním tlakových napětí v oxidu, které mohou vést až ke vzniku trhlin a pórů. Posttransientní oxidická vrstva tak může vykazovat méně ochranné vlastnosti [5,6].…”

“…4b) již refl ektuje oxidickou vrstvu vznikající v průběhu korozního procesu. Vysokofrekvenční časová konstanta charakterizuje odpor a kapacitu oxidické vrstvy, zatímco nízkofrekvenční část je 2 inkorporovány v kovové formě do struktury oxidické vrstvy a následně zrychlovat oxidaci zirkonia [6,[8][9][10].…”

“…Corrosion in zirconium alloys is a complicated electrochemical process which is influenced by several factors, including the properties of the metal/oxide interface, water chemistry, pressure, irradiation, and time. Although many reported works [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] have studied numerous factors affecting the corrosion processes, and considerable understanding of the corrosion mechanisms have been secured, there are many effects that are still not fully understood: in particular, the relationships between the residual stresses that are generated between the oxide film and the substrate, the structural phase content, and the kinetics of corrosion. Better understanding can lead to the development of alloys * kokboonc@sunway.eduy.my † ab6856@coventry.ac.uk…”
