The aim of the work is to develop a method of landscape dynamics under anthropogenic impact. The developed methodology is tested on the territory of Kostanay region, which is one of the main regions of mining industry development, with a focus on iron ore mining and crop production. Space images and field survey results are used as input materials. In general, the work consists of the following six stages: the first stage includes the selection and processing of space images, the second stage includes the calculation of indices based on data from different channels of space images, the third stage includes field work aimed at collecting information for verification of the obtained results on the basis of RS data, the fourth stage includes the calculation of range values, the fifth stage comprises verification of the obtained indices, and the final sixth stage deals with calculation of the integral index of landscape degradation degree and analysis of landscape dynamics under anthropogenic impacts. The calculation of the integral indicator of the degree of degradation of the natural environment of the Kostanay region, based on the degradation of each indicator in the conditions of anthropogenic impact, allowed for identification of landscapes with different degrees of degradation (from weak to very strong). The research confirmed that landscapes with a high degree of degradation under anthropogenic impact are confined to semi-desert landscapes in the south of the study region. The degradation of these landscapes is associated not only with anthropogenic impacts but also with natural and climatic features that influence the development of landscape pollution processes. On the contrary, landscapes with a weak degree of degradation correspond to the forest-steppe and steppe zones, characterized by a high level of economic development and resistance to anthropogenic impacts. The verification of the obtained indicators by the values of the remaining 25% of field points determines the reliability of the obtained results, ranging from 87% to 92%, confirming the correct choice of methods and techniques for obtaining the results, especially the choice of field methods and vegetation and non-vegetation indices for assessing the selected indicators. Subsequently, based on the verified map of degradation of the natural environment, created through space monitoring for a certain period, it is possible to forecast the functioning of the natural environment in the conditions of anthropogenic impact.

The paper considers the landscape study of the Malyi Khamar-Daban Range (western Transbaikalia), located in the basins of the Temnik river (Lake Taglei region) and Torei river (tributary of the Dzhida river). Based on the analysis, a landscape map of a topological level was generated, which presents homogeneous sections (geomers) of natural and natural-anthropogenic geosystems − biogeocenoses. The legend to the landscape map was developed on the basis of the principles of structural and dynamic classification of geosystems, based on the provisions of the doctrine of geosystems, which determine the landscape structure of the territory as the structure of primary and variable states of geosystems. In the legend of the map, taxonomic affiliation, factor-dynamic properties, seriality, and degree of anthropogenic disturbance of geosystems are sequentially displayed. The map displays 23 varieties of biogeocenoses referring to 3 taiga and 1 steppe geom. From factorial-dynamical attributes that determine the conditions of location, geosystems are represented by 6 classes of facies. A distinction needs to be drawn between the primary, pseudo-primary and serial facies. In the study area, 4 degrees of disturbance of geosystems were identified. Conditionally undisturbed geosystems are located mainly in inaccessible territories. The presence of moderate and severe disturbed geosystems is mainly associated with forest fires, local logging, and moderate recreational load and forestry. Areas with the maximum degree of disturbance are confined to agricultural lands and residential territories.

We examine the main natural features and the present status of geosystems across the territory of the northeastern Hovsgol region. The source of observational evidence concerning the state of the landscapes was provided by field expedition-based investigations, with emphasis placed on the study of the species and age composition of vegetation in conjunction with dynamical processes as well as geomorphological characteristics of the study area. The present status of geosystems across the study territory was analyzed by methods of visual interpretation and automated processing of spatial information using GIS technologies on the basis of Earth remote sensing data, field investigations of landscapes, topographic maps as well as literature sources. Special attention was paid to the analysis of the digital elevation model that was generated on the basis of SRTM 4 data in order to determine the morphometric characteristics of the location of geosystems, assign them to a particular type of classification of geosystems and compile the map legend. The legend to the landscape map was produced on the basis of a classification of a number of geomers as developed by V.B. Sochava in his theory of geosystems. As a result of the work done, we compiled the medium-scale landscape-typological map of geosystems (Sc 1:200000) on the level of groups of facies.
