Structure of the ion acceleration region in cylindrical Hall thruster plasmas

Abstract: We investigated the structure of the ion acceleration region and the shape of the ion velocity distribution function in cylindrical Hall thruster plasmas, using laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy on Xe II metastable ions.
