Abstract: Retinoid X receptors (RXR, NR2B1-3) hold therapeutic potential in oncology, neurodegeneration and metabolic diseases but traditional RXR agonists mimicking the natural ligand 9-cis retinoic acid exhibit poor physicochemical properties, pharmacokinetics and safety profiles.
