“…Dolomite analogs have a similar structure to dolomite, as shown in Figure 11 [36]. It is known that the structure of norsethite (BaMg(CO 3 ) 2 )/PbMg(CO 3 ) 2 changes from that of the normal dolomite due to the larger ions at the A-site [37]. Specifically, since the ionic radius of Ba 2+ /Pb 2+ is larger than that of Ca 2+ , the coordination number of its A-site cations has been changed from the original 6 coordination number of Ca 2+ to the 12 coordination number of Ba 2+ /Pb 2+ (6 + 6), with six nearer oxygen atoms and six more distant oxygen atoms to form two octahedra with different Ba-O bond lengths, respectively.…”

“…It finds applications in the production of refractory materials, mineral fertilizers, cement, and ceramics. The characteristics of ground dolomite depend on its chemical composition, microstructure, texture, and porosity [59,60]. The dolomite used in the experiment was purchased from Biovita Sp.…”

“…This could contribute to creating more favorable conditions for plant growth and influence the increased availability of nutrients. According to studies by Vasilyeva et al [59], Marwa et al [52], Balidakis et al [57], Szadkowski et al [55], and Jafari et al [56], vermiculite may enhance soil aeration and contribute to improved water retention, which is crucial for root growth and development.…”

“…Analysis of the XRD pattern shows that the crystal structure of dolomite is different from that of calcite. The ordered dolomite has superlattice XRD reflections [e.g., (101), (015) and (021)] (Figure 2a) [5,42,43]. The ratio of the diffraction intensity of the (015) crystal plane to that of the (110) crystal plane is used to calculate the degree of cation ordering in dolomite [δ = r (015)/r (110)] [44].…”
