Abstract: The structures and some vertical excitation energies of third-row transition metal hexafluorides (MF6, M = Re, Os, Ir, Pt, Au, Hg) were calculated using the multi-reference configuration interaction (MRCI) theory based on exact two-component (X2C) Hamiltonian.
