Structure and Composition Changes of Nitrogen Compounds during the Catalytic Cracking Process and Their Deactivating Effect on Catalysts

Abstract: The comprehensive structure and composition changes of the nitrogen compounds during the catalytic cracking processes of coker gas oil and vacuum residue are investigated using electrospray ionization combined with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. These experiments were conducted over different cracking materials under the reaction temperatures of 500/520 °C, the weight hourly space velocity of 18 h–1, and the catalyst/oil ratio of 5. The results show that the diffusion resistance i… Show more

“…as the most abundant compounds. Moreover, Chen et al 27 found that benzocarbazoles (DBE = 12) were the most abundant in Shengli coker gas oil, which was slightly heavier than our feed (i.e. its boiling point at 90% point in simulation distillation was 417°C against 381°C in our feed).…”

“…The m/z values were output to a spreadsheet when their relative abundance was larger than 6 times that of the standard deviation of the baseline noise value. The mass calibration and data analysis methods can be found in previous publications (Chen et al 2012(Chen et al , 2014(Chen et al , 2017Shi et al 2010a, b, c).…”

“…In this paper, the chemical molecular formula of a given compound, C c H h N n O o S s , was deduced in terms of the m/z values within ± 1 ppm. The double-bond equivalent (DBE) value of this compound, including the number of rings and double bonds, was calculated according to the equation of DBE = c − h/2 + n/2 + 1 (Chen et al 2017).…”

“…В связи с этим публикации послед них лет посвящены главным образом разработке методов удаления азотистых соединений из нефтя ного сырья [3]. Информация о структурных изме нениях АО под воздействием температуры касает ся их устойчивости в процессах гидроочистки ди стиллятных фракций [9,10] и моделирования про цессов термического созревания для решения про блем геохимии [11,12]. Сведения о трансформа ции АО смол в термических процессах на сегод няшний день в литературе отсутствуют.…”
