“…However, several key genes (capsular polysaccharide biosynthesis protein, SDR family NAD(P)-depended oxidoreductase, type I polyketide synthase, DsbA family oxidoreductase) encoding for the synthesis of extracellular polysaccharides of the high conservativity are found in all genomes and their divergence also coincide with the genome-based taxonomic classification for the genus Cobetia [46]. It has been determined that the strains C. pacifica KMM 3789 T , KMM 3878, and C. litoralis KMM 3880 T produce sulfated O-polysaccharides (OPS) composed of trisaccharide repeating units and include D-glucose 3-sulfate and D-galactose 3-sulfate, D-galactose 2,3-disulfate, and 2-keto-3-deoxy-D-manno-octanoic acid 5-sulfate, respectively [55-56]. The C. pacifica capsular polysaccharides were found to exhibit an antiproliferative effect and suppress the colony formation of DLD-1 and MCF-7 cells in a different manner [55].…”
