La géographie des approvisionnements des marchés populaires tunisiens en produits de consommation banals importés depuis les places marchandes globales – notamment chinoises – est particulièrement labile. Les variations spatiales et temporelles des routes empruntées par les marchandises s’expliquent par la dépendance des approvisionnements des commerçants envers des dispositifs de contournement des barrières douanières, eux-mêmes affectés par le changement politique survenu en 2011 et par les incertitudes de la période post-révolution. L’observation de la recomposition constante des modalités d’approvisionnement et des itinéraires empruntés a révélé, à partir d’une approche ethnographique multisituée, un réseau de marchés structurant les circulations marchandes. Sur la base de ces résultats, l’article propose de renouveler le cadre d’analyse des circulations marchandes aux Suds en construisant une approche-réseau de la structuration et des recompositions des routes marchandes. Cette approche mobilise les outils théoriques et méthodologiques de la sociologie et de l’analyse des réseaux sociaux dans le but de formaliser l’analyse des réseaux évoqués dans les enquêtes ethnographiques et d’expérimenter une analyse de réseaux spatiaux structurant les circulations marchandes.
