Structural patterns enhancing the antibacterial activity of metallacarborane-based antibiotics

Abstract: Newly developed antibiotics are supposed to treat infections caused by drug-resistant bacteria. To increase the likelihood of overcoming resistance, antibiotic candidates should be based on structures that are unknown to bacteria.
