Structural optimization and hydraulic performance analysis of bionic pit flow channels based on a genetic algorithm

Abstract: Orthogonal experiments have mostly been used in the structural optimization of drip irrigation emitter flow channels. To further improve the efficiency of the optimal design, this study used a genetic algorithm to optimize the structure of the bionic pit flow channel. Based on the structural similarity and performance optimization of the torus-margo bordered pit structure, the constitutive equation of the flow channel unit was constructed. The selection, crossover and mutation operators were set by the genetic… Show more

“…Qiu et al [9] designed four tooth-shaped flow channel structures, and through numerical simulation and experimental analysis, discovered the best hydraulic performance occurs when the tooth tip is vertical to the water flow. Xu et al [10] designed the pit flow channel drip irrigation emi er with a flow index of 0.493 according to bionics principles.…”
