“…The C─H bending was assigned to the peaks at 1418 cm −1 in FTIR and 1417 cm −1 in FT‐Raman and the corresponding calculated value appeared at 1408 cm −1 . [ 7,11 ] The crest at 898 cm −1 in FTIR and FT‐Raman ensures the presence of C─N stretching vibration and the corresponding calculated mode was observed at 844 cm −1 .…”

“…The creatininiumbased organic compounds with the presence of 𝜋 bonds demonstrate a high nonlinear optical efficiency, which is beneficial for optoelectronic applications. [6][7][8] p-toluenesulfonic acid otherwise known as tosylic acid has an electron-withdrawing sulfonate (SO 3 ) group and electron-donating methyl (CH 3 ) group, which increase the magnitude of nonlinear polarization of the material. [9,10] The growth and characterization of complexes of L-creatininium p-toluenesulfonate single crystals were reported in the literature earlier.…”

“…Creatinine (C 4 H 7 N 3 O), a by‐product of imidazole compound, is a nitrogenous natural bio‐molecule containing ammino imino tautomeric form that enables the production of nonlinear optical‐based substances. [ 8 ] Creatinine is a proton acceptor hired to synthesize a few proton transfers of complicated substances. [ 9 ] Creatine is the by‐product of muscle energy metabolism and is excreted by the kidneys.…”

“…Recently, many new salt forms and metal complexes of creatinine have been reported in the literature because of its involvement in the formation of sensitive drug materials, such as anti-HIV, antifungal, antiprotozoal, antiviral and antitumour compounds (Tabatabaee et al, 2012;Sindhusha et al, 2017;du Pre ´& Mendel, 1955;Thayanithi et al, 2016), and its nonlinear optical response (Thirumurugan & Anitha, 2017a,b;Narasimhan et al, 2011). Of the many creatinine salts reported in the literature, only a few, like creatininium benzenesulfonate (Sindhusha et al, 2020), creatininium succinate (Thirumurugan et al, 2016), bis(creatininium) fumarate fumaric acid (Thirumurugan & Anitha, 2017b) and creatininium tartrate (Thirumurugan et al, 2016), crystallize in noncentrosymmetric space groups, whereas the others crystallize in centrosymmetric space groups. Considering the potential importance of creatinine salts, we discuss here the Experiments were carried out with Mo K radiation using a Bruker APEXII CCD diffractometer.…”

“…tallizes in a centrosymmetric space group, whereas CR benzoate and CR 4-nitrobenzoate crystallize in a noncentrosymmetric space group. The difference in molecular recognition and the factor driving a compound to crystallize in a centrosymmetric or noncentrosymmetric space group might be the substituents present in the counteranion at different positions Thirumurugan et al (2016Thirumurugan et al ( , 2017Thirumurugan et al ( , 2018. and Thirumurugan & Anitha (2015) have crystallized and studied the…”
