“…It disclosed a diffuse diffraction band in the 2θ range of 15 o − 45 o , suggesting there is no periodicity of long-range arrangement in the materials. The lack of long-range recurring order infers that the materials are in the glass phase [33]. Sharp peak location of XRD spectra enables crystal structure investigation by establishing the corresponding d values, thereby identifying the integrated metallic structure.…”

“…3 presents the XRD pattern of GO-deposited on zinc-tellurite glass. A broad diffuse or hump pattern was observed within 20°-40° in the 2θ scale without the existence of any sharp discrete diffraction peaks which indicates the presence of long-range structural disorder characteristics or lack of atomic orderliness in the glass network [21,22]. It can be seen from the figure that the absorption coefficient increases with an increase of Er 3+ concentration.…”

“…The XRD pattern in Figure 3, displays broad diffusion at lower scattering angles in the range of 2θ = 20° to 40° revealing the absence of crystalline peaks. it depicts the existence of long-range structural disorder which is the characteristics of an amorphous material [17]. The sharpness of the hump is more pronounced at 2θ =30o.…”

“…The decreasing values of Urbach energy is an indication that the samples have a higher tendency to minimize static disorder within its structure [17]. This has also indicated that as the concentration of Sm3+ ions increase, the Urbach energy as well as the fragility gets reduce as a result of decreasing amount of NBOs in the glass system.…”
