“…These M s values are abnormally high. They are significantly higher than earlier reported for Co-doped titania produced by the hydrothermal method without chitosan (1.25 Â 10 À2 emu Á g À1 [9]) and the solid-state method (0.12 emu Á g À1 [11]). …”

“…4(a), the M(H) dependence at room temperature (300 K) measured for the as-prepared product is linear due to a paramagnetic component of the sample. It should also be mentioned that this dependence does not pass through zero, indicating a small magnetism that has been observed by several authors previously [9][10][11] in the structures with different types of oxygen vacancies. The magnetic susceptibility values decrease from 7.89 Â 10 À6 at 80 K to 2.53 Â 10 À6 at 300 K, and to 1.68 Â 10 À6 cm 3 Á g À1 at 500 K for this sample.…”

“…So, IELs are beneficial for extending the sensitive light wavelength. The result gives a good explanation of the red shift [31-34]. However, for these kinds of IELs, high impurity doping concentration might form a recombination center for photoexcited electron–hole pairs and results in a decrease in the quantum yield for the photocatalytic reactions [21].…”

“…O-DMSs with high Curie temperature have technological applications in the fields of optoelectronics, magnetoelectronics and microwave devices [4]. However, the origin of ferromagnetism * E-mail: salma iqbal1990@hotmail.com in these oxide DMSs is still controversial as to whether it is caused by electron spins or it stems from magnetic precipitations due to dopant ions segregation [5].…”

“…These properties are promising for applications such as catalysts, photoanodes, solar cells, magneto-optical devices [4]. TiO 2 is found in three crystalline forms: rutile, anatase and brookite.…”
