Structural, microstructural and magnetic properties of sol–gel-synthesized novel BaZrO3–CoFe2O4 nanocomposite

Abstract: A novel 0.5(BaZrO 3)-0.5(CoFe 2 O 4) (BZ-CF) nanocomposite ceramics has been synthesized using sol-gel autocombustion and mixing technique. The structural analysis was carried out using X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique. The XRD pattern shows mixed perovskite and spinel ferrite phases with simple cubic structure for the BZ-CF nanocomposite. The calculated average crystallite size of the samples varies of the order of the nanoregime. The lattice parameter (a) and other structural parameter were obtained using X… Show more

“…The lattice parameter of the nanoferrite thin films is determined by employing interplanar spacing and Miller indices corresponding to each peak of the XRD patterns. 54 The lattice parameters were found to be between 8.386 Å and 8.466 Å with the upsurge of Cd 2+ content x. The variation of lattice parameter with Cd 2+ content x is shown in Fig.…”

“…The lattice constant (a) of the Gd 3+ doped Ni-Co ferrites were determined by means of the typical relation and their values are organized in Table 1 [49], where d is interplanar distance; (hkl) is Miller Indices. Figure 4 illustrates the distinction of lattice constant (a) with Gd 3+ concentration y.…”

“…18−23 In addition, with the rapid development of wireless communication and the huge amount of information discovery since the start of the 21 st century, there are new and higher requirements for microwave dielectric ceramics. 5,8,11 The focus of academic attention has shifted more and more toward investigating the upper limit of dielectric properties and looking for new low-loss candidates to meet emerging requirements. Based on this, we previously systematically investigated the synthesis of Sr ties (ε r = 63, Q × f = 84,000 GHz, and τ f = 293 ppm/°C).…”

“…Hydrothermal syntheses with microwave assistance method have also been carried out for several compositions . Microwave dielectric ceramics with right relative permittivity (ε r ), high quality factor ( Q × f ) values, and approximately zero temperature coefficient of resonant frequency have been extensively studied over the past few decades because they are essential components for microwave substrates, resonators, oscillators, and so on. In addition, with the rapid development of wireless communication and the huge amount of information discovery since the start of the 21 st century, there are new and higher requirements for microwave dielectric ceramics. ,, The focus of academic attention has shifted more and more toward investigating the upper limit of dielectric properties and looking for new low-loss candidates to meet emerging requirements. Based on this, we previously systematically investigated the synthesis of Sr 3 Ti 2 O 7 bulk ceramics and obtained excellent microwave dielectric properties (ε r = 63, Q × f = 84,000 GHz, and τ f = 293 ppm/°C) .…”
