Abstract:Pure In2O3 and 6% Cr-doped In2O3 thin films were prepared on a silicon (Si) substrate by pulsed laser deposition technique. The obtained In2O3/In2O3:Cr thin films structural, morphological, optical, magnetic and gas sensing properties were briefly investigated. The X-ray diffraction results confirmed that the grown thin films are in single-phase cubic bixbyte structure with space group Ia-3. The SEM analysis showed the formation of agglomerated spherical shape morphology with the decreased average grain size f… Show more
“…Widely studied and presented in the coatings research area are thin film improvements. They are classified as a promising candidate for, e.g., spintronic applications [53], glass substrates [54], considering semiconductors [55] or magnetic and gas sensing [56], and thermoelectric [57] or optical [58] properties. Thin film coatings have a wild range of applications [59] that are suitable for the proposed SI area of study.…”

“…The ten published papers reflect the original spirit of the Special Issue, ranging from nanoparticles [1,2] to thin films [3][4][5][6][7][8] to heterostructures [9] and homojunctions [10] and covering various aspects of oxide-materials preparation, characterization, and applications.…”
It has been almost three years since we enthusiastically accepted the offer to be guest editors for this Special Issue of Coatings, entitled “Functional Oxide Thin Films and Nanostructures: Growth, Properties, and Applications” [...]
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
