Abstract:Glycerol dehydrogenase (GDH) catalyzes glycerol oxidation to dihydroxyacetone in a NAD+-dependent manner. As an initiator of the oxidative pathway of glycerol metabolism, a variety of functional and structural studies of GDH have been conducted previously.
