Abstract:The DNA sequence preferences of nucleosomes can be captured in a probabilistic model that ascribes a probability or, equivalently, an energy to any 147-bp sequence. This is generally done using a Markov chain model, where the total probability of a sequence is calculated from the probability distributions of subsequences of some length (usually dinucleotides) under the assumption that long-distance correlations are less important. These probability distributions must be trained on some subset of the entire seq… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
