“…The surfaces of the top YBCO layer of the four samples SS, SIS-20, SIS-40, and SIS-70 were observed, as shown in Figure 5. Since the lattice constant of YBCO in the c-axis direction is approximately three times longer than that in the a-axis (or b-axis) direction, usually the a-(b-) axis grains at the surface are needle-like or strip-shaped, while the c-axis grains are columnar through the film [8].
